Burton Hunt Pony Club ran an Open Show jumping Competition at Hillhouse on 23rd January with qualifier classes for the Pony Club Spring Festival.
With Classes starting at 40cm for lead rein/assisted up to the 90 cm Open/PC Qualifier there was something for everyone including some fun ‘pairs’ classes and an accumulator round with riders vying to get the top score.
Burton was well represented with our youngest and oldest members competing and it was lovely to see PC members from other local branches.
Burton members could also accumulate points over the day to gain an extra prize for Burton Member with the Highest Score. The junior section was won by Sophie Bailey and the senior section by Molly Wylde.
Great to see several Burton members gaining qualifier cards for the next phase of the Spring festival in the 80 & 90 cm class – look forward to seeing you there and cheering you on. Good luck!

Branch Update
Phew! Its been a busy few weeks for Burton Members
In addition to our normal training & rallies in all disciplines the branch ran a successful Hunter Trial at Hackthorn – such a lovely venue.
The Senior Games Team won the Area competition – which we hosted. This takes them and one of the Burton Pairs through to the next round, which is Zones in July
Members also attended the Quiz National Championships, several show-jumping competitions including Rockingham & Chatsworth Horse Trials
Looking forward to next few months – Camp planning, Area competition Preparation, Test Training…..
